We provide certified, fully accredited courses at all levels of First Aid (including Instructor level), along with other specialist training such as; 

Manual Handling, Fire Wardens, Production Safety (for HoDs and Crew), along with Airborne Pathogen Awareness, and Mental Health First Aid...  

 

All courses can all be provided either at your premises or our Training Centre in the heart of Harrogate.

Airborne Pathogen Awareness (Half Day or Full day)...

This fully certified 1 day course is aimed at those who wish to gain a clearer understanding of how Airborne Pathogens are transmitted and can be managed both at work and at home. This is especially important during the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, but can be applied to a much wider range of airborne diseases and risks to health. Provided by our own fully-trained medical professionals, with hands-on experience and training, this course is a great addition to those responsible for workplace safety and general wellbeing. 

First Aid made easy!.. (half day)

We offer a 'First Aid for Beginners' course - which is a great first step in understanding what action to take if somebody is injured or becomes ill - including when and how to call the Emergency Services.

 

First Aid for Children / Paediatric First Aid... (1 day & 2 day courses)

Ideal for new parents - with specific focus on how to care for newborns and infants right through to school years. This can be taught as an easy to understand course or as a certified course to suit professional carers & pre-school staff, with the one day / 6 hour course and also the two day / 12 hour course as approved by the HSE.

Emergency First Aid at Work... (1 day)

This is the 1 day course as required to comply with the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 Regulations, which requires all companies to employ First Aiders in the workplace. This 1 day course is aimed at the lower risk environments, such as smaller offices & shops. Certificates are legally recognised and valid for 3 years from the date of the course with a recommendation for annual refresher training.

First Aid at Work (3 days)

This is the 3 day course as required to comply with the Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974 Regulations, which requires all companies to employ First Aiders in the workplace. This 3 day course is aimed at the higher risk environments, such as manufacturing facilities, chemical sites and large office complexes. Certificates are legally recognised and valid for 3 years from the date of the course, with a recommendation for annual refresher training.

First Aid at Work Instructor Training... details on request

To help reduce the ongoing cost of First Aid at Work Training to larger organisations, we can train your existing, experienced First Aiders to become fully Certified First Aid at Work Instructors - with all the tools to enable them to provide the initial and refresher first aid training as / when required in-house at any time. The minimum, pre-requisite for this training is that the person must be a qualified First Aid at Work provider with at least 1 year's experience.

Manual Handling Training (half day)

Designed to complement our First Aid Training - with an aim of preventing / avoiding injuries through knowledge of the correct way to lift and move objects. The course includes a basic understanding of the human frame and physiology and how to maximise it's use to move items with a minimum risk of injury.

 

Mental Health First Aid & Awareness (1 day)

This introduction to the management of Mental Health is a great way to begin to understand the way we can manage our own stress and anxiety and also help others - in the workplace and beyond. A fully certified course, which builds on the established principals provided by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.

Production Safety for HoDs / Production Safety for Crew & new starters (half day or full day)

This safety course, updated for 2024, covers the management of Production Safety at 3 key levels;

Heads of Department, Core Crew and also new starters / work experience. It is especially useful to anyone that may be new to the industry.  

Like most of our courses, Production Safety be provided on-site and is focused at the specific industry, rather than simply a generic overview of safety awareness across the wider world of business. This course compliments our provision of Safety Advisers and Risk Assessments (Production RAs and location / work specific).
